Properly maintaining your heating system equipment can increase your fuel efficiency
and lengthen the lifespan of your system. That’s why Swezey offers three, affordable
and beneficial Service Plans. Don’t wait until something goes wrong with your heating
equipment. Protect your system and your budget now.
Protect your entire heating system with either our Superior Value Plan or our Premium
Supplemental Plan. Protect just your water heater with Swezey’s Oil-Fired Water
Heater Service Plan. All three Service Plans include:
• A periodic system tune up to keep your equipment running at
its peak performance
• The repair or replacement of specified parts if they are damaged
or inoperable due to normal wear and tear
• The ability to transfer your plan to the new owner when you
sell your home
During the course of your plan term, the Superior Value Plan includes a periodic
heating system tune up and a water heater tune up. We also repair or replace the

Sign up for Swezey’s Oil Fired Water Heater Only Plan and your coverage includes:

• Replacement of anode rods is not covered by this agreement.

General Conditions

Note: This updated description of your parts-and-service coverage under your service
plan agreement replaces your original document. Please keep for your records.

Service Hours
During the life of this agreement, Swezey Fuel Co. will provide dependable, prompt
emergency service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
THE FOLLOWING ARE REGARDED AS REQUIRING EMERGENCY SERVICE: NO HEAT, SERIOUS
FUEL LEAKS OR DANGEROUS SITUATIONS.
All other service will be performed during normal working hours, Monday through
Friday, 7.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
1. Periodic tune-up will be performed when necessary during the agreement term during
regular working hours. Customers should call our service department to schedule
an appointment. We will:
• install new air filters, oil filter cartridge and burner nozzle, if necessary.
• clean and check electrodes and nozzle assembly.
• oil all motors on burner, fans and circulators.
• safety check all operating controls.
• inspect combustion chamber.
• brush and vacuum interior of boiler (or furnace) and smoke pipe, including chimney
base, as necessary.
• adjust system for maximum efficiency and perform combustion efficiency test to
check results.
2. Labor is covered only for the repair and replacement of listed parts and services.
For all other work, labor will be charged at our prevailing labor rate.
3. This agreement does not cover parts or labor when failure is due to:
• lack of oil when delivery has been delayed due to delinquency in payments, or
when customer is not on automatic delivery.
• failure of customer to maintain proper boiler water level or pressure.
• customer leaving emergency switch in “off” position.
• customer setting thermostat too low to call for heat.
• electric controls and motor needed for air conditioning.
• clock thermostat batteries.
• tiger loop.
• piping or wiring not directly related to heating system.
• customer failing to check for blown fuses or circuit breaker.
• change in customer oil consumption.
• air in baseboard heaters or radiators.
• vacant or unattended premises (where property has been unattended for at least
24 consecutive hours).
• service required or damage resulting from operation of an attic fan.
• domestic hot water coil gasket.
• domestic circulators.
4. This agreement does not cover electronic air cleaners, air handlers or air handler
coils, nonemergency service calls outside of normal working hours, repair or replacement
of obsolete parts that are not available through regular sources of supply, removal
of any asbestos material, piping or wiring not related to the heating system, or
any work that requires us to expose concealed piping, ductwork or oil lines for
repair.
5. This agreement does not cover damage caused by power interruptions, strikes,
material or labor shortages, acts of God, accidents, fire damage, flooding or other
water damage, abuse or misuse of the system, etc., except that which is caused by
ordinary wear and tear.
6. This agreement will be void if all fuel oil requirements are not purchased from
Swezey Fuel Co.; if customer removes himself from automatic delivery status; if
customer procures heating equipment service or has equipment installed by anyone
other than a Swezey Fuel Co. employee.
7. This agreement does not ensure against fuel storage tank leakage or any damages
to persons or to property resulting from tank leakage. This agreement does not cover
any installation, cleanup, removal, remediation or other costs of compliance with
any laws, rules or regulations regarding fuel storage tanks. Swezey Fuel Co. will
not be responsible for any injury or damage resulting from the disposal, discharge,
dispersal, release or escape of oil or other petroleum substance into or upon the
customer’s property, surrounding property, the atmosphere or any water course or
body of water, unless caused by the negligence of Swezey Fuel Co.
8. All equipment replacement allowances in the Premium Supplemental Plan may be
applied only toward equipment purchased from and installed by Swezey Fuel Co. We
will replace equipment only in cases of leakage due to normal wear and tear. Insufficient
hot water is not covered. Replacement boiler coverage applies only to hydronic boilers
up to 175,000 Btu’s.
9. Swezey Fuel Co. reserves the right to reject any equipment from coverage should
the inspecting service technician find it to be unacceptable.
10. The term of this agreement is one year from the date of acceptance. It will
automatically renew at that time unless we are notified of cancellation in writing
30 days prior. The customer may assign this agreement to any future purchaser of
the customer’s home, provided due notice is given to Swezey Fuel Co. in writing
before the transfer of ownership.
