Back to school, back to work; fall is a busy time for everyone. But don’t forget to take time to get your home ready for another cold winter. To help out, we’ve put together this “to-do” list.
- Check the condition of weatherstripping around windows and doors and re-caulk other areas where necessary to keep heated air from leaking outside.
- Clean gutters and downspouts so rainwater and melting snow can drain properly.
- Identify dead branches on trees and prune them before a winter storm brings them down on your home or on a power line.
- Sign up for paperless billing. Customers who receive their statements via email love it for so many reasons: reduces clutter, easy access to account information and less paper waste.
